Commercial Driver's License Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our equipment rental company, OSC Rentals, LLC. In this role, you will be the backbone of our delivery operations, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient transportation of freight across various routes. Your expertise in truck driving and ability to handle different types of trailers will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of service.

Duties

- Safely operate tractor-trailers and various commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment

- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary

- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations

- Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, maintaining punctuality and adherence to schedules

- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal regulations

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly

Skills

- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL license, including manual transmission operation

- Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks

- Strong knowledge of freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving strategies

- Ability to operate forklifts safely for loading/unloading when required

- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance with traffic laws

- Experience with various types of freight including hazardous materials (if applicable)

- Good physical condition to handle loading tasks and long hours on the road

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
