Abel Machine is looking for Full Time CNC Machinists to join our team! We are ramping up our manufacturing capabilities and are in need of highly-skilled Mill and Lathe team members to support the Machining department.
At Abel Machine our machinists do it all: they program, setup, and operate the machines.
An ideal candidate has all functions of a CNC Machinist, including but not limited to:
- CNC and Programming experience (Okuma experience would be a plus but not required)
- 3-5 years of experience in CNC Programming and setup
- Mastercam experience a plus
- Competent in G code programming and editing programs as needed
- Experience working with various metals
- Ability to communicate with team on issues or improvements needed
- Understanding of CNC fixturing, functioning and fit
- Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings
- Focus on continuously improving quality and productivity in the facility
- Knowledge of basic math as well as competency in shop mathematics(geometry and trigonometry)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic
- Great attendance record
- Ability to work well in a team environment and be a team player
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and direction/self-starter
- Proficient in blueprint reading, model/based definition, GD&T
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Willingness to work in a fast paced work environment
- Possess a positive, team oriented attitude with consistent attendance and punctuality
