We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. - Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and/or EDM’s to produce parts to precise tolerances.
- Setup and Calibration: Set up machines, tools, and fixtures based on work orders and drawings, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
- Programming: Interpret G-code and make basic edits to CNC programs as needed to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Quality Control: Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools to verify part accuracy and quality.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machining issues, including tooling, setup, or machine malfunctions, to minimize downtime.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure their optimal performance and longevity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, material usage, and machine settings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other machinists to improve processes and meet production deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and toolpath optimization.
- Strong understanding of machining techniques, materials, and tolerances.
- Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical and machining issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Programming experience preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for handling tools and components.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Competitive pay based on experience. Starting at $25/hr.
