Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with mid-level experience to join our team in Broussard, LA. This role primarily involves operating a CNC lathe to thread API connections on drill pipe and BHA equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced in machining within an industrial or oilfield environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate CNC lathes (primarily Haas ST-40L) for threading API connections

· Study work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to plan machining operations

· Interpret GD&T and technical drawings accurately

· Set up machines, including tooling, offsets, and program inputs

· Basic editing on programs mills and lathes, including proving out part programs

· Monitor machining processes (turning, facing, grooving, threading) for quality

· Measure parts and adjust processes to maintain specifications

· Troubleshoot machining issues and replace or sharpen tooling as needed

· Perform basic preventive maintenance and maintain a safe work environment

Preferred Experience

· 3+ years of CNC machining experience

· Experience with Haas ST-40L CNC

· Experience with Haas TL-4 CNC

· Familiarity with Puma 480D, 480L, or 800L CNC machines

· CNC mill experience is a plus

· Ability to perform basic math, geometry, and trigonometry calculations

· Experience in oilfield or heavy industrial machining environments

Schedule - Full-time, Monday through Friday, some weekends. Average 45-55 hours per week.
