CNC Machinist

Looking for a CNC machinist for a Machine Shop in Atwater, CA.

- Make parts to specifications using a lathe, milling machine, shaper, and grinder.

- Measure, examine, and test completed units to find any defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments.

- Set up, adjust, and operate specialized and advanced machine tools.

- Align and secure machine holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials.

- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.

- Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine the sequence of methods and operations necessary to fabricate products.

- Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display the placement of cuts.

- Observe operating machines/equipment to diagnose malfunctions and make adjustments or repairs.

- Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment. Dismantle machines/equipment.

- Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

- Fit and assemble parts to make or repair tool machines.

- Set up and operate metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, and cutting equipment.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to perform physical work for extended periods of time.

- Ability to lift or move heavy objects.

- Repeatedly perform physical operations, including pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, reaching, bending, stacking, and turning.

- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment: safety glasses and closed-toe shoes.
