What you will be doing
General Support and Reporting Duties for Service/Construction/Forestry/Line Maintenance
- Serve as back up, provide assistance, and exchange information with other Operations Support Assistants
- Maintain all operations department files.
- Consistently maintain current information on work schedules, trucks, equipment, phone numbers, and classifications for departmental personnel.
- Prepare and maintain time sheets and attendance records, forms, memos, reports, and correspondence.
- Prepare spreadsheets for weekly crew completed work and monthly senior staff reports.
- Prepare and address any questions or concerns with the safety dept, human resources dept, and payroll dept.
- Attend, scribe, and distribute minutes from departmental meetings and all other required training and meetings.
- Prepare any travel arrangements required for training and meetings.
- Monitor and maintain invoices and receipts for budget records.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NISC, iVue, SmartTrack, Mapwise, AppSuite
- Demonstrated knowledge of Outage Management System (OMS)
- Verify that cable locating, staking, and county inspections are complete.
- Process requests from contractors and internal crew members for work locations and map numbers along with print maps as required.
- Coordinate status and workloads daily with Customer Care and Billing.
- Maintain quarterly and annual trim reports.
- Complete workflow process for damages to Cobb EMC facilities.Daily Work Process
- Create and record work request orders to initiate the process of all short duration jobs in the Operations Department.
- Verify all information entered on new jobs is accurate and correct.
- Sort and/or dispatch work request orders to various departments depending on the type of job created.
- Complete work request orders when returned from Superintendents.
- Create and Assemble reports on all areas as required on completed work.
- Promptly answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner. Assist the caller or transfer to appropriate personnel.
- Implement and communicate requests from senior staff and management team as requested.
- Communicate with County and Government offices for permitting, lane closures, utility locate, and street lighting.
- Communicate with contract companies for scheduling, invoicing, flagging, emergency, and other efforts.
- Cross training and communication is required in all sections of Operations division in order to assure member and employee assistance is covered at any time.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE HighSchool or equivalent.
Minimum Two Years General Office Or Administrative Experience. Thorough
knowledge of corporate policies and procedures.
SKILLS Ability
to successfully interact with the public and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
Proficiency
with personal computers including Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent
oral and written communication skills.
Excellent
planning and organizational skills.
Ability
to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated
high degree of accuracy in all work.
Proficient
typing and data entry skills.
Ability
to effectively communicate via two-way radio and telephone.
Adequate
10-key calculator skills.
PREFERRED Previous
utility industry experience.
Business
school training.
Demonstrated

Demonstrated

Knowledge
of Georgia Utility Facility Protection Act (GUFPA) regulations.
Knowledge
of Georgia 811 dig laws.
