The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will play a critical role in establishing a new shipping facility while overseeing daily warehouse and logistics operations across Tate, Inc.’s manufacturing, storage, and vendor-supported locations. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and logistics performance across multiple sites. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong analytical and communication skills, and has a proven ability to scale operations while supporting business growth.
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations across multiple Tate, Inc. facilities and vendor locations.
- Establish and standardize SOPs, MOPs, safety protocols, and workflow practices to ensure consistent execution across all sites.
- Lead the setup and operational launch of a new shipping facility, including layout optimization, staffing, and process implementation.
- Manage receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and storage operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and system controls while partnering with procurement and production teams.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation, manage carrier relationships, negotiate freight rates, and control logistics costs.
- Monitor logistics and warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy, transit time, freight spend, productivity, and delivery performance.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess performance, address challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present operational reports, insights, and improvement recommendations to leadership.
- Support and lead the implementation of WMS enhancements, ERP integration, and automation opportunities.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all warehouse teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards through regular audits and training.
- Lead safety initiatives, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.
- Champion Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Travel as required to support multi-site operations and vendor coordination.
- Adapt to changing business needs and support scalable growth initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of progressive warehouse and logistics management experience, including multi-site oversight.- Strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control practices, and supply chain processes.
- Proven leadership ability with experience coaching, developing, and motivating diverse teams.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse/logistics software tools.
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments (preferred).
- Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S certification (a plus).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite (preferred).
- Strong understanding of material handling equipment and warehouse safety practices; forklift certification a plus.
