Position: Tool & Die Technician/ Apprentice / Journeyman
Pay: Starting at $24 - $34 per hour, compensation based on experience and qualifications.
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, specific hours to be mutually agreed upon per production requirements.
As the Tool & Die Technician, you will be joining a dynamic team at a growing manufacturing company as a very important position in our business. This is a hands-on, shop floor position that is responsible for repairs to die casting tooling. Additional duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Normal clean up of die cast dies.
- Perform change overs involving inserts, core pins, slides, and ejector pins.
- Die and core polishing, grinding core pins, ejector pins, and trim punches.
- Manual machining of die cast components using Proto Trak mills, manual lathe, surface grinders
- Assist Die Cast department when issues arise.
- Assist with die cast and trim press set ups.
- If starting as an apprentice, participation in the Wisconsin Apprenticeship Program is required, along with adherence to all program rules, requirements, and guidelines.
A successful candidate should have five to ten years of tool room experience, including some managerial. Journey man card a plus but not required. Must work cooperatively with other team members. A positive attitude and regular and punctual attendance is required. Safety is our #1 priority.
