Modern Forge Indiana is a steel forging production facility seeking a tooling repairman.
Experience is great, but we are looking for all levels of experience in this position, including entry level.
The right Tool and Die Repairman candidate can be entry level as long as they are mechanically inclined and willing to learn. We will train the qualified candidate to be able to learn to troubleshoot on forge and trim repairs, and use various hand tools, micrometers, calipers, and tape measure. Daily activities for a tool and die repairman will include but are not limited to use of hand tools and milling machines to make repairs to tooling. Tool and die repairmen also are expected to learn to set-up secondary trim tools in stationary presses, portable presses, cross rolls and reducer rolls. The successful tool and die repairman candidate must be able to read blueprints. The successful candidate of any level must be able to work independently to accomplish projects and routine tasks and possess a strong work ethic.
This is a 2nd shift position with $1.00 shift differential.
Tooling Repairman candidates must successfully pass a background and drug screen.
