Position Summary

Shipley Energy is looking for an energetic and customer focused Talent Acquisition Specialist. Responsibilities and Duties:

- Recruiting:

- Develop and execute recruiting and talent acquisition strategies aligned with business and growth objectives

- Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume, hard-to-fill, or safety-sensitive roles

- Coordinate and maintain integrity in the full hiring process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, drug testing and background checks

- Coach and support hiring managers on effective interviewing, selection decisions, and compliance requirements

- Enhance recruitment and retention strategies to acquire and maintain the highest level of talent in the industry

- Manage and distribute the weekly Open Requisition Report and maintain current job postings

- Coordinate on-boarding activities including preparing training plans and conducting new team member orientation

- Oversee the company's internship program and represent Shipley at various career fairs and recruiting events

- Engagement:

- Create and distribute the team member engagement survey and compile results to leadership team

- Perform frequent check ins with new hires to get a pulse on items that can be improved

- Facilitate process for ongoing team member feedback including but not limited to surveys, exit interviews, focus groups

- Assist with the long-term strategies for improving team member engagement

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelors Degree in Business/Human Resources or 3 to 5 years of related experience

- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

- Committed to the values of initiative, responsibility, caring relationships, integrity, and innovation

- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and federal/state employment laws

- Knowledge of HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems preferred

- Proficient in computer technology including Microsoft Applications

- Excellent organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

- Able and willing to work flexible hours and travel as needed

- Valid drivers license, access to a motor vehicle and capacity to travel
