Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be help managing and optimizing the supply chain processes to ensure seamless production operations.
o Coordinate the routing of import and export shipments with our freight forwarders’
o Work closely with the forwarders to ensure all deliveries are on-time and shipping instructions are followed
o Communicate with our customers (both internal and external) with any general shipment-related questions, regulations, required information, invoices, quotes, tracking & tracing (shipment status) and all other related to logistic operations.
o Track and manage a large number of containers, break bulk and truck shipments throughout the US and overseas
o Contact suppliers to verify that the engineering documentation and manufacturing process is kept in line with promised delivery dates
o Contact suppliers to ensure that all dropship purchase orders are received and that deliveries will ship on-time
o Maintain constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are in route
o Create and maintain expediting reports to track all purchases and related shipping dates
o Notify project management team in a timely manner if a critical delivery is going to be late
o Collaborating with project management to prepare for project review meetings.
o Liaising with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
o Receiving shipments of materials, and examining deliveries to ensure accurate quantities, quality, and specifications.
o Meeting and collaborating with management to assess reliability of suppliers and vendors, and to identify solutions for ongoing problems.
o Performing clerical duties and maintaining accurate records and files of activities.
o Following established guidelines, instructions, policies, and procedures.
o This role will also assist QC/CA and purchasing as needed.
- Proven experience in supply chain management within manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and related MRP tools.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and demand planning methodologies.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics, and plant management functions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision making.
- Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
