Position

Supervisor, Warehouse, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Superintendent, Warehouse, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

- Assists the Superintendent, Warehouse in developing, implementing, and upholding warehouse policies, procedures, and operational best practices while ensuring all material storage areas are organized and compliant with safety standards.

- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the proper storage, handling, and movement of materials—including enforcing hazardous materials protocols, maintaining adequate storage conditions, and ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading activities.

- Provide hands‑on technical guidance to warehouse staff by conducting work inspections, offering coaching, directing corrective actions, and training team members on forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other light equipment.

- Monitor and manage the materials receiving workflow by ensuring accurate documentation, applying quality‑control practices, resolving procurement and accounting discrepancies, and reporting damages or shortages promptly.

- Maintain secure and well‑operated warehouse facilities by controlling access, supporting end users in material retrieval, coordinating inspections, sustaining cleanliness and organization, and leading stocktaking and cycle‑count activities.

- Leverage the ERP system to train staff, prepare operational reports, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and establish measurable KPI targets while conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and supporting employees’ Personal Development Plans.

- Demonstrates proactive safety leadership by modeling safe work practices, promoting adherence to all safety protocols, and fostering a collaborative team culture built on accountability, open communication, and continuous learning.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

- Five (5) years of relevant warehouse experience with two (2) years of previous supervisory experience, preference will be given to those with experience working in a remote site with limited access to resources.

- Post-secondary education in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Management.

- A Nunavut Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) Supervisory Level II qualifications, or ability to obtain same.

- Proficient in using SAP, ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the annual salary for this role is $153,700.00
