We are seeking a hands-on Facility Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations at our facility. This role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient material handling and inventory control, supervises warehouse staff, executes facility-level MRO purchasing under divisional guidance, and partners closely with production and maintenance to maintain material availability. The ideal candidate is WMS/ERP proficient, safety-focused, and experienced in continuous improvement.
Responsibilities Include
Purchasing
- Execute facility-level purchasing of MRO supplies and consumables under divisional guidance.
- Track order status, deliveries, and vendor communications for local needs.
- Ensure purchase orders and receipts are entered accurately in WMS/ERP systems.
- Supervise receiving, storage, picking, staging, and issuing of materials.
- Maintain warehouse layout, housekeeping, and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through WMS use, cycle counts, and periodic audits.
- Coordinate material flow with production and maintenance to meet operational needs.
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse associates in standard operating procedures.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and provide performance feedback and coaching.
- Demonstrate and enforce safety leadership and best practices.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve warehouse processes and increase WMS utilization.
- Support divisional initiatives focused on cost savings, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be able to to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, government, and industry representatives.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages; apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite; Maintenance CMMS, and ERP System (Oracle/JD Edwards preferred).
- Must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must have experience in communication with all levels of employees in a manufacturing setting.
- Must be able to work alone in a self-directed environment.
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the scope of performing the essential functions and responsibilities of role.
- Must be able to effectively perform multiple, concurrent tasks with constant interruptions.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards/CAM software
- Knowledge of MaintainX software
Essential Physical Functions
This role requires physical mobility in both warehouse and office settings, including lifting items up to 50 lbs. and operating or overseeing warehouse equipment. They must adapt to variable temperatures, noise, and dust in the warehouse and follow safety protocols.
