Warehouse Supervisor

KBS Electrical Distributors, Inc. is a family-owned business that distributes high voltage electrical equipment. Our Austin office is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to help our growing company and its many demands.

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate handling of inventory, shipping, and receiving activities. This role leads warehouse personnel, enforces operational standards, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and performance objectives, with a strong emphasis on accurate system transactions within the Prophet 21 (P21) ERP system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping

· Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure productivity and adherence to procedures

· Ensure accurate inventory control through proper documentation, cycle counts, and real-time transactions in Prophet 21 (P21)

· Oversee receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, and inventory adjustments within the P21 ERP system

· Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment

· Monitor workflow and labor utilization to meet service levels and operational targets

· Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to inventory, shipping errors, or damaged goods

· Operate and oversee the proper use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks

· Collaborate with purchasing and customer service teams to ensure system accuracy and on-time order fulfillment

· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost control

QUALIFICATIONS: If applying for this position, you must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for an employer sponsored visa (work permit).

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

· 3+ years of warehouse or distribution experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role

· Hands-on experience using Prophet 21 (P21) ERP for inventory management, receiving, shipping, and order processing

· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

· Advanced knowledge of Prophet 21 modules related to warehouse operations and inventory control

· Experience with barcoding, RF scanners, and P21-integrated warehouse workflows

· Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety programs

· Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods

· Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
