We are a fully integrated supplier of manufacturing and engineering services providing steel components and complex, high value-added assemblies for the agricultural, construction, mining, energy, heavy truck and industrial sectors.
We are currently searching for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role involves supervising warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing workflows to meet operational goals.
This role reports to the Material, Logistics and Purchasing Manager.
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity and performance targets
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and ensure inventory accuracy
- Schedule staff shifts and assign tasks based on workload and priorities
- Report on warehouse performance indicators as required.
- Inspect equipment and warehouse facilities to ensure proper maintenance and safety
- Resolve operational issues, including damaged goods, delays, or staff concerns
- Prepare reports on warehouse performance, productivity, and inventory status
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Lead physical inventory counts and monitor variances, conduct analysis and implement solutions.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Follows and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e. IATF, ISO 14001)
- All other duties as assigned
- Post secondary degree or diploma in supply chain or logistics management.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics
- Advances skills in warehouse management systems (WMS) and computer skills
- Knowledge of CMS or AS400 Based System is an asset
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Forklift certification
- Physical demands include working in warehouse environments in changing temperatures and ability to sit, stand walk continually and lift up to 50 lbs
