Summer Students

Surge Energy Inc. is a publicly traded oil-focused E&P company with a strong foundation built on high-quality crude oil reserves with an average daily production of 24,000 boe per day. Our core operating areas in Alberta and Saskatchewan are among the top conventional oil plays in Canada. At Surge, we believe that our people are one of our greatest assets. We are a mid-sized company based out of our Calgary Head Office and look for individuals to join our team who share our passion for integrity, innovation, and the production of safe, reliable Canadian energy.

We are currently accepting applications for various summer student positions at Surge Energy. To be eligible, students must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school in the Fall 2026 semester. Students must be available for full time work from May – August, daily hours may change dependent on location and role.

The following departments are looking to add an engaged, eager, and hardworking student to the team:

- Environmental Science Intern (Calgary office based)

- Engineering Intern (Calgary office based)

- Finance and/or Accounting Intern (Calgary office based)

- General Field Labour (Opportunities in the following areas: Wainwright, Provost, Estevan, Red Earth Creek)
