Summer Student - Field

SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. Summer students perform a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks including, but not limited to: equipment and shop maintenance, yard upkeep and supporting our Service and Maintenance Technicians.

- Union - This is a temporary full time summer student position from May 4, 2026, to August 28, 2026.

- Multiple positions available.

Responsibilities

- Equipment and shop maintenance including:

- painting services

- cleaning and organizing facilities and stations

- Yard maintenance including:

- lawn mowing

- weed trimming

- hand digging

- raking

- Assisting operations staff with a variety of tasks as directed.

- General administrative duties including filing and working with spreadsheets.

Qualifications

- Enrolled as a post-secondary student on a full-time basis for the winter 2026 semester and returning in the fall of 2026.

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s licence.

- Physically fit.

Additional Information

- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters, may be required.

- This job is safety sensitive, and as such, is subject to the provisions of the Drug and Alcohol Policy (Pre-Employment or Pre-Placement for Safety Sensitive Positions).

- Students must be prepared to work outdoors.
