Summer Student (General Labour)

The Team Member will be responsible for inspecting, grading, sorting and processing of ferrous and/or non-ferrous scrap metals and maintains work location in orderly condition to achieve operational goals and objectives. THIS IS A SUMMER POSITION, HIRING FOR 1.

Wage:

- $20 per hour

When:

- Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 3:45pm

- Every other Saturday: 8:00am - 11:45am

Role Expectations:

- Performs the inspecting, grading, sorting and processing of ferrous and/or non-ferrous scrap metals.

- Maintains work location in orderly condition to achieve operational goals and objectives.

- Use computer system to input non-ferrous material codes and weight.

- Completes yard tickets and provides tickets to customers.

- Process materials by breaking them down by commodity and removing all non-conforming material.

- Provides exceptional customer service.

- The successful applicant will be subject to a criminal background check.

Qualifications:

- Experience working in a production, warehouse or landscaping environment

Applicants must complete a criminal background check with no adverse findings.
