Steel Stamping Press Operator

POSITION OVERVIEW

You will be a member of the Stamping Department Team and in this position will Set-up and operate automatic stamping presses (32 to 150 tons) to perform a variety of operations with steel including: blanking, forming, piercing, and cut-off processes. This is accomplished using various sizes of coil band steel and progressive dies to produce work-in-process and finished parts. Work schedule is 5 days/week plus occasional overtime.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes

- Proficiency in operating stamping presses and related machinery

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

- Experience with blueprint reading and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers

- Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and tooling

- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
