The ideal candidate will have experience in Adobe Work Front Production Coordination. Project Management and/or Adobe Work Front Certifications are considered a plus. This position entails monthly travel upon business needs and may be based at one of our corporate offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee or Knoxville, Tennessee.
This position is the primary representative of Marketing & Creative Communications for their designated business units. The role is responsible for the initial scoping discussions, is the go-to for Communications Consultants and their clients; and grows business relationships across the enterprise. The role provides guidance, identifies efficiencies, and offers alternatives during initial scoping discussions while continuing to engage throughout the project lifecycle. Will leverage resources, groups and existing creative and communications products to assist in broadening the Communications organization objectives in support of the TVA enterprise. Is responsible for project tracking and oversight from start to finish and identifies key staffing resources across Marketing & Creative Communications required for the project. Additionally, will identify process improvements, gaps in capabilities, manage project traffic flow and communications, and provide weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly reports to the Director, Marketing & Communications.

- Enhances and protects the TVA reputation and brand; builds understanding and support for the agency’s long-term strategy and enterprise priorities.
- Ensures the TVA image is correctly, consistently, and effectively conveyed in all materials to exhibit a high quality, consistent corporate message.
- Identifies risks associated with timelines and determines/helps develop alternatives to find a successful outcome.
- Supports efforts for cost avoidance/reduction while remaining consistent with TVA’s branding guidelines.
- Acts as a steward of TVA by routinely evaluating and assessing “the spend” of brand/visual communication related items and providing proactive oversight, initiative, thought leadership to the Communications leadership team.
- Develops and maintains a deep understanding of Marketing & Creative Communications’ capabilities and limitations to effectively engage in their representative role.
- Ensures that projects and related deliverables meet the needs of our internal/external clients and that they meet the stated objectives of the client as well as their return on investment.
- Provides guidance in connecting creative communications projects to strategic goals and in proactively proposing and developing products that assist in achieving short- and/or long-term objectives for Communications and the broader organization.
- Creates or supports the creation of production schedules/timelines as needed.
- Engages directly with project management and work request applications, tools and resources.
- Develops, recommends best practices, technology and process methodology/tools that enhance group efficiency and success to include partnering with T&I and Data & Analytics Center of Excellence (PowerBI, Tableau) to produce data visualizations that aid in both tracking and highlighting key performance visuals.
- Promotes/ensures adherence to and provides counsel regarding TVA Corporate Identify principles including management of the TVA logo and the prevention and elimination of internally created logos or identities that do not support the TVA brand.
- Collaborates with outsourced design agency resources as necessary.
- Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization, and the Public Information organization in particular, in accordance with Emergency Plan procedures. Supports on-call rotation for after-hours needs. Additional assignments as needed.
Minimum Requirements: Education. — Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, marketing, visual communications, graphic arts, new media or a related field of study; or equivalent education, training and experience is required. Experience. — At least 4-7 years of professional experience sufficient to establish a record of achievement in a creative environment related to ad agency, design studio, video production, marketing, or a similar field. Prior interactive/digital agency coordination/traffic manager experience. Lean Six Sigma, Agile experience highly desired. Proven consulting and negotiating skills, external vendor relationship management, and the ability to explain and understand complex technical issues and scenarios. Understanding of design and production of various communication types; rich media, print collateral, video, live and produced events, and web are required. Certification/License, etc — Project Management Certification desirable. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — Demonstrable understanding of core elements and fundamentals of project management techniques. Solid understanding of project management tools and applications. Exceptional level of creativity, across a variety of disciplines (traditional, new and rich media). Excellent listening skills with the ability to quickly synthesize the essence of the visual communication need/objectives and translate it into a visual concept. Proactive, self-motivated, and good instincts. Solid knowledge of graphics, video and other rich-media techniques and emerging technologies. Highly conceptual with the ability to pitch/sell creative ideas in an inclusive and collaborative manner. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to wear multiple hats. Requires attention to detail and the ability/temperament to manage multiple projects. Must be a creative, resourceful, decisive, and highly productive self-starter who is comfortable with a high degree of responsibility. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position/access requirements and essential job functions.
