Shop Helper

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shop Helper to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations within our manufacturing facility by assisting with assembly, material handling, and general shop duties. Your enthusiasm and mechanical aptitude will contribute to a smooth workflow, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while developing valuable skills in assembly, tooling, and warehouse operations.

Duties

- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials within the facility

- Support the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor to promote safety and productivity

- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues

- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred

- Experience operating forklifts, power tools, and hand tools is desirable

- Warehouse experience involving material handling is advantageous

- Ability to work effectively on an assembly line in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards

- Basic physical stamina to stand, lift, and move materials throughout shifts

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
