Machine Shop Helper

Job Summary Required: Previous experience in Manufacturing or Industrial environments.

North Houston airport area.

Day Shift training is offered but the job will be Night Shift.

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Machine Shop Helper! In this energetic role, you will support skilled machinists and fabricators by assisting with various machining, fabrication, and assembly tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills while contributing to high-quality manufacturing processes.

Duties

- Support the fabrication process by handling hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assemble parts accurately.

- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to aid in machining and assembly tasks.

- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to ensure parts meet specifications.

- Help with material handling using forklifts and warehouse experience to organize raw materials and finished products efficiently.

- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to lean manufacturing principles to optimize productivity.

Qualifications

- Basic math skills and mechanical knowledge are essential for understanding measurements and machining processes.

- Experience or familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T, CAM programming, and CNC operations is highly desirable.

- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is a plus.
