Mechanic Shop Helper

For over seven decades investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

Job Description

- Pick up parts for mechanics at supply house

- Assist mechanics in repairs

- Take out shop trash daily

- Sweep & run floor machine over shop floors daily

- Wipe down toolboxes & lifts

- Clean bathrooms, breakroom, & offices

- Wash trucks after repairs are complete

- Make sure parking lot is clean

- Load & unload trucks

- Decal & set up new equipment

- Remove decals on equipment to be turned in

Qualifications

- Must be willing to travel when necessary

- Valid driver's license
