Shipping Supervisor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Packing/Shipping Supervisor to oversee the packing and shipping operations at our aluminum extrusion manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring products are properly packaged, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time while maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment

- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the packing and shipping department

- Ensure all orders are packaged correctly and shipped according to customer specifications

- Oversee loading, staging, labeling, and documentation of outgoing shipments

- Train, mentor, and lead packing and shipping staff

- Monitor workflow to meet production schedules and shipping deadlines

- Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations

- Inspect finished goods to ensure proper packaging and compliance with quality standards

- Maintain accurate shipping records, bills of lading, and inventory transactions

- Troubleshoot packing or shipping issues and implement process improvements

- Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

- Prior supervisory or leadership experience (manufacturing environment preferred)

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

- Experience with EPICS Manufacturing Execution System

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

- Experience working in a union environment preferred
