Summary
This position will verify and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
- Studies Work Orders, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Enters Data in the System as events transpire to ensure Accuracy and Real Time Information regarding Status of Materials Received, Finished Goods on Hand and Product Shipments
- Determines product identification, accuracy and completeness of data and labeling requirements
- Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and seals loaded truck doors.
- Directs movement of incoming and outgoing shipping and receiving to designated storage and work areas
- Tracks records of unfilled orders.
- Posts weight and shipping charges.
- Prepares bills of lading

- Strong internal customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills, excellent follow through
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, and proven ability to manage many multiple priorities and projects
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks on time.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with an ERP a plus.
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in a shipping and receiving environment preferred but not necessary.
