We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team in Northbrook, IL, 60062. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility. Responsibilities

- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.

- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring all items are packed securely and labeled correctly.

- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments using our inventory management system.

- Coordinate with vendors and carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.

- Assist in organizing and maintaining the shipping and receiving area for optimal efficiency.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve any shipping or receiving issues promptly.

- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.

- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar role preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to lift heavy packages and operate warehouse equipment safely.

- Proficient in using computers and inventory management software.

- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.

- Warehouse Experience

- Material Handler Experience

- Loading and Unloading Vehicles

- Tape Measure Reading

- Packaging Experience

- High School / GED

- Shop Math Skills

- Basic Computer Skills

Salary info:

$17 - $20 / hr
