Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking a Surface Plate Inspector to join our quality assurance team.

The inspector will perform dimensional inspections using a surface plate and related tools, verify compliance with ISO requirements, and support first article inspections for new product launches.

Key Responsibilities

- Surface plate inspections: Perform precise dimensional checks using height gauges, micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other metrology tools.

- ISO compliance: Ensure inspection processes and documentation align with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.

- First Article Inspection (FAI): Conduct and document first article inspections per AS9102 requirements for aerospace and medical components.

- Precision aerospace parts: Verify tight tolerances and complex geometries on flight-critical components.

- Precision medical parts: Inspect surgical and implantable devices to meet regulatory and customer specifications.

- Documentation: Record inspection results, maintain traceability, and prepare quality reports.

- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

Qualifications

- Experience in dimensional inspection using surface plates and precision measuring instruments.

- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9102 standards.

- Familiarity with aerospace and medical manufacturing requirements.

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Background in regulated industries (aerospace, medical devices).

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software

Shift: Flexible: 6am-7am start time, Mon-Friday.

Direct Hire Role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
