BLOC Resources is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Support 1 (Specialist I) to support the Construction Support team at Southern Company Gas Corporate Headquarters. The purpose of this position is to coordinate key work management tasks related to capital construction projects, including cost-recoverable programs, from project initiation through financial close-out. Responsibilities include project setup and maintenance within Southern Company Gas systems, asset allocation, work request creation, contract validation, and supporting project documentation and coordination.
This role will also serve as a liaison between pipeline contractors and Southern Company Gas, assisting with work management processes, system support, and communication related to project activities.
- Coordinate work management tasks for capital construction projects from project initiation through financial close-out.
- Set up and maintain projects within the Southern Company Gas (SCG) ARM system.
- Initiate and manage non-new business work requests according to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, and work management records.
- Perform asset allocation and booking activities in PowerPlan.

- Support reporting requirements for construction programs and capital projects.
- Create and validate spot contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal requirements.
- Review contractor documentation and ensure proper project setup within systems.
- Serve as a liaison between pipeline contractors and Southern Company Gas for work management and system-related issues.
- Communicate project updates, system changes, and procedural requirements to contractors and internal teams.
- Escalate system or work management issues when necessary.
- Review project data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- 0–5 years of professional experience in project coordination, project support, administrative support, or similar roles.
- Prior experience supporting project teams or construction-related projects is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing project data.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (such as Microsoft Project).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
- Hybrid work schedule requiring at least four (4) days per week in the office.
- Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
