Project Manager – Industrial Construction (Power / Chemical / Mechanical)
Nelpro is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a critical industrial construction project at an active power/chemical facility. This role will lead day-to-day execution from mobilization through closeout, ensuring performance across safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.
- Lead project execution and coordinate all phases of work from startup through completion
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, procurement, and material/equipment needs
- Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead plans, and production tracking
- Monitor job costs, forecasting, and budget performance
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Lead progress meetings and provide clear reporting to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with site safety requirements, work permitting, and quality standards
- Support billing, invoice review, and project closeout deliverables
- Project management experience in power generation, chemical, or industrial plant environments
- Strong understanding of industrial jobsite safety and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage schedules, subcontractors, and cost performance
- Industrial piping scope including underground piping, tie-ins, supports, valves, and coordination of testing/turnover
- Mechanical/civil coordination (sitework + mechanical installs working together)- Heavy civil/sitework experience: excavation, grading, drainage, utilities, and structural earthwork
- Experience supporting construction in active operating facilities
- Familiarity with environmental controls, dewatering, and erosion control- 8+ years of construction project management experience
- PMP (Preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with project reporting, documentation, and job cost tracking tools
- Ability to work on-site and support field operations- Employment Type: Contract - Duration: 6+ months - Location: On-site Bartow/Lakeland, FL surrounding area.
