The Project Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial matters of a specific large or complex project. The Project Accounting Manager will ensure that a project stays within budget, identify issues early and assist in billing, expense tracking, and financial reporting. The senior project accountant will lead monthly cost to complete estimates and keep project and company leaders informed on the status and progress of the project.

1. Prepare weekly/monthly reports for Core Team, Senior Leadership Team, and Client
2. Provides analysis of cost variances and trends, assists with contingency tracking and risk monitoring
3. Tracks work scope funding and timely payment authorization of invoices
4. Forecast cost projections and identifies cost trends for management attention
5. Tracks project progress through the earned value and cost to complete process
6. Develops resource / cash flow plans to project future resource needs
7. Support project management team on project budgets and forecasts
8. Prepare & distribute all monthly job cost reports to the Project Managers and Project Executives
9. Enter all change orders, back charges, subcontracts, award analysis, and projected adjustments
10. Prepare and enter monthly billings to Joint Venture partners
11. Enter and analyze monthly owner requisitions (accounts receivable, retainage receivable and contract revenue)
13. Responsible for the processing and maintenance of subcontractors’ accounts
14. Prepare the close out package for all completed jobs
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
4. 5+ years of related experience in public accounting and/or project accounting
