The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily production schedules, ensuring that inventory levels are managed properly, ensuring the efficiency and quality of production operations, and the management and training of plant floor employees.
People Leadership & Performance Management
- Manages all department employees and is accountable for employee performance
- Manages and develops supervisory production staff
- Hires, trains, coaches, and develops front-line employees
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Administers discipline and employee terminations in accordance with company policies
- Manages the production schedule and manufacturing processes to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products
- Oversees the day-to-day workflow of production and assembly staff
- Organizes, directs, and oversees front-line employee schedules and work assignments
- Addresses material shortages and operational constraints impacting production flow
- Collects, evaluates, and analyzes production data to identify efficiency, quality, and process improvement opportunities
- Supports the development and execution of corrective actions within production and assembly
- Collaborates with other department, including Sales, to identify, investigate, and resolve quality or delivery concerns
- Deploys and maintains the company safety plan, including ongoing safety improvements
- Leads 5S initiatives and assists Safety team in safety risk reduction projects and employee safety training
- Ensures production equipment and processes comply with safety and regulatory standards
- Assists the Plant Manager and Safety team in developing, implementing, and enforcing safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment

Required
- Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and driving employee engagement
- Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (I.e. 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction)
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong ability to use power and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret production prints and drawings
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyze basic production metrics to support data-driven decision making
- Strong focus on risk reduction, continuous improvement, and workplace safety
- Ability to train, coach, and mentor employees to improve performance and engagement
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic production or equipment issues
- Working knowledge of quality systems and corrective action processes
High school graduate or GED and at least 1-2 years of assembly work experience in production/manufacturing environment or relevant equivalent experience. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field strongly preferred.
