Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems including programmable AC Power Source and DC Power Supplies, AC loads and DC Electronic Loads, Digital Power Meters and Automated Testing Systems for applications in LED Lighting, Led Drivers, Aerospace, Defense, Military, Automotive, Medical, Battery, Solar, Marine, and Regulatory Testing.
The position reports directly to the Production Manager. Works closely with all functional groups who support Work Order Management and Production Scheduling for the company, from Production, Warehouse, Accounting, Purchasing, Service, and Engineering. This position is responsible for approximately $3,000,000.00 - $4,000,000.00 of company inventory in the form of ATE, Fixture, and Harness products.

- Oversee, direct and control work to/from the Production Floor in the way of Work Order Management. Work with Production and Warehouse Management to schedule the work according to resources, inventory availability and work load (capacity).
- Have the technical manufacturing skills needed to understand and support the various Production processes in order to provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing process and Production Management.
- Ensure Work Orders are accurate and conform to the released Bill of Materials for those specific parts.
- Oversee direction of inventory in and out of Work Orders by giving direction to Warehouse, Production, Engineering and Purchasing as needed to insure a smooth flow of work through Production.
- Ensure proper tools and training are made available to support each build by working with Purchasing to procure the right items, Engineering to define the needed tooling, and Production to ensure the required training is done.
- Working knowledge of job costing and cost rollups to accurately ensure Work Order costs are accurate and supporting of the company.
- Drive inventory levels to meet goals of company required to deliver annual Revenue Goals and as directed by Management.
- Help resolve inventory discrepancies. Drive Engineering Change Control or ERP changes as needed to ensure accurate Work Orders and an efficient build process for our ATE Production Teams.
- Ensure that the companies ERP system is used in accordance with the defined procedures and work with accounting and IT functions to maintain data integrity of material.
- Participate as and when required in group lead improvement initiatives and working groups.
- Must implement a system of continuous improvement linked to strategic goals defined by his managers (adequacy of inventory levels, material flow rationalization…), including removing waste or unnecessary steps in the Logistics process.
- Participates in plant production & materials planning meetings
- Analyze, review, and interpret trends from logistics related data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid in vendor feedback, customer service, and cost improvement processes.
- Ensure the accuracy of the Production inventory, floor stock & safety stock, limiting the risk of material obsolescence.
- Associates Degree required plus 3 years of experience in similar size company OR Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience in similar size company.
- Working knowledge of bar code technology is a plus.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal relations and written/oral communication skills to communicate with both internal contacts in the organization and external contacts including; families, vendors, and government agencies.
- Well organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to gather, interpret and proactively act on data with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to demonstrate and have a good working knowledge of MAS 100, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Must have ability and desire to continue to learn and update knowledge of Warehouse Management functions.
- High sense of urgency with ability to work in a fast-paced team environment anticipating and adjusting to challenges.
- Able to follow directions, manage multiple tasks, and respond to urgent requests in a positive manner.
- Understanding of Safety & Quality Objectives and Importance in a Warehouse Environment.
This position spends approximately 50% of the day at a desk working in front of a computer. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
