In this role, you will make an impact within our company by developing, implementing, and maintaining all the procedures and protocols regarding proper inventory control for the purpose of maintaining accurate financial information. You will maintain high-level warehouse inventory accuracy by performing daily, weekly, or quarterly physical counts of stock, investigating discrepancies, and updating database records. You will identify inventory issues, reconcile counts within our ERP system, and may be required to operate forklifts or other machinery to audit stock.
- Inventory Counting: Perform daily cycle counts of inventory (raw materials, finished goods) to ensure accurate stock records.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve inventory inaccuracies, researching causes for discrepancies.
- Data Maintenance: Update inventory records in the ERP system and generate reports.
- Warehouse Coordination: Assist with receiving, shipping, and material location, including supporting annual physical inventory audits.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations while operating equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, or order pickers.
- Partners with the company's accounts receivables department to ensure that all transactions are being accounted for in real-time.
- Develop and implement systems for accurately managing inventory.
- Ensures seamless movement of products and inventory.
- Manages monthly inventory optimization initiative, to include pulling in key stakeholders in the review of excess, slow moving / stranded inventory.
- Oversee daily / weekly cycle counting initiatives, real-time execution, and reporting.
- Maintains records regarding inventory control, intake, and sales.
- Develop and maintain key inventory related metrics, turns, accuracy.
- Performs monthly analysis on overall inventory, excess, obsolete, aged.
- Reports to upper management regularly and provides recommendations for better inventory control.
- Assists in inventory deliveries and shipment of inventory as required.
- In partnership with the warehouse managers, maintain a well-organized and accurate physical location of inventory.
- Regularly review and remain current on Operating Procedures, Quality Procedures and Manufacturing Specifications regarding products and processes as necessary.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, inventory control, or cycle counting experience.
- Proficient in basic math, data entry, and computer skills (WMS/Excel).
- Capable of standing for long periods, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate Order pickers, Work assist vehicles and counter-balance forklifts would be an asset
