Production Associate / Material Handler

Mid-American Salt is currently looking for a full time Production Associate / Material Handler to join our team at our Toledo, OH bagging facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Work with manual assembly line packaging equipment, production line work, weighing, bagging, sealing of various containerized finished products

● Filling, sealing and stowing manual jugs

● Monitoring robotic palletizing (bagging line) line

● Ability to perform repetitive manual assembly line type work to include pallet stacking of finished product bags and jugs

● Prepare the finished product for loading/shipping

● Filling out production reports at end of shift

● Keep your work area clean, and restock any supplies needed for the next day's production requirements

Qualifications and Skills

● Must be 18 years of age

● Must be a hardworking, reliable, accountable, detail-oriented team player

● Ability to perform repetitious, assembly line type work

● Willing to become forklift certified

● Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

● Must be able to work in cold and warmer conditions

● Must have reliable transportation to and from work

● Must be able to lift 50 lbs repetitively and be on your feet for 8+ hours per day

● Seasonal overtime is likely and will be required

● Hourly and piece rate bonus pay after 90 days

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
