Material Handler

The primary role of the Material Handler is to maintain production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory and delivering production materials and supplies.

- Pull and verify materials and supplies

- Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading and securing product

- Check condition of all forklifts before shift

- Work with production to help achieve daily goals

Knowledge, skills and abilities

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 2 years’ previous experience operating forklift

- Ability to follow instructions thoroughly

- Organizational skills

- Strong mechanical aptitude

- Ability and willingness to follow directions

- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting

- Verbal communication skills

Physical requirements

Ability to lift 50 lbs., sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, etc. Work environment may include high noise areas, working at heights, confined spaces, congested work sites, shift work, duration rotations, shop setting, etc.
