Job Responsibilities And Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working independently; keeping accurate, daily inventories (both handwritten and through computer entry) of all explosive products used in underground main and auxiliary magazines; analysing and investigating any discrepancies in inventories (in person, by phone, and in written form); rectifying discrepancies; reporting discrepancies to various levels of management; meeting compliance requirements for Stillwater Mining Company standards as well as applicable government regulations; mine data entry and tracking; assisting Mine Operators personnel as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven ability to comprehend and apply basic math skills.

- Exceptional planning, organizing, analytical skills, detail oriented, and versatile.

- Strong level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel).

- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks independently and with minimal supervision.

- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.

- Ability to work in underground environment.

- Can safely operate transportation equipment on rough roads and for extended periods.

- Ability to walk for long distances (up to 2 miles) on rough surface while wearing required PPE.

- Ability to climb steep inclines 20%+ and/or ladders while wearing required PPE.

- Must be able to attain and maintain ATF clearance to handle explosives.

- Flexibility to work rotating shift schedule as required.

Education & Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent and 2 or more years' experience in an underground mine; OR five or more years' experience in an underground mine, preferred.
