Ferosa designs and manufactures high end architectural metal address numbers, precision machined from solid aluminum and finished with refined powder coated finishes. Every piece we produce is highly visible on the front of a home, so the quality of our finish matters.
We are looking for a powder coating technician who takes pride in their work and pays extreme attention to detail. This is not a high volume production role. It is a craftsmanship driven position where consistency and finish quality are critical.
You’ll be responsible for hanging, spraying, and inspecting the powder coated address numbers. Our products are small, highly visible, and require an extremely high quality finish on every piece.
This role is best suited for someone who:
- Takes pride in producing high quality, consistent finishes.
- Prefers quality focused work over high volume production.
- Apply powder coatings with consistent coverage and film thickness.
- Inspect parts prior to going in the oven to ensure they are dust free and free of defects.
- Maintain an organized workspace and efficient work flow during cure cycles and colour changes.
- Inspect finished parts for defects such as dust, picture framing, or inadequate coverage.
- Strip and clean parts that do not pass inspection.
- Experience in powder coating or industrial finishing preferred.
- Ability to identify and correct finish defects (orange peel, uneven coverage, etc.)
- $26-$32 per hour, based on experience and performance.
- Starting wage is based on initial skill level.
- Wage increases are based on demonstrated finishing quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
