Powder Coating Technician

Job Summary

XS Powder Coating is seeking an experienced Powder Coating Technician to join our production team. This position requires prior powder coating experience and a strong understanding of surface preparation, powder application, and curing of metal parts. Experience working in an industrial or fabrication shop environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Prepare parts for coating, including cleaning, masking, hanging, and racking

- Apply powder using electrostatic spray equipment

- Operate and monitor curing ovens

- Inspect finished parts for coverage, thickness, defects, and color consistency

- Perform touch-ups and rework as needed

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Follow all safety procedures and shop policies

- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job priorities and quality concerns

- Assist with loading/unloading parts as needed

Requirements

- 1+ year of powder coating experience

- Familiarity with industrial powder coating processes

- Ability to read work orders and follow instructions

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move parts throughout the shift

- Must be reliable and punctual

- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Schedule

- Full-time

- Monday–Friday

- Second shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)

(Overtime may be available depending on workload)
