The Brandywine Power Facility (Brandywine) is a 230-megawatt natural gas-fired combined-cycle facility located in Prince George’s County, MD. The project operates in the PJM power market as a merchant facility. Brandywine became commercially operational in October 1996. Brandywine has two GE 7EA DLN1 gas turbines with Nooter Eriksen HRSGs and a single GE steam turbine.
Manage the day-to-day administration functions of the plant location. The position requires a high level of customer service, problem solving, and the ability to professionally handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Work effectively with Plant Manager and management staff in support of day to day duties, projects and key initiatives.
- Process invoices/purchase orders for transfer to accounts payable, including data entry as necessary. Receive management approval (Req.), process purchase order, confirm received parts/inventory, post invoice, process payment (onsite Accounts Payable), update vendor file.
- Knowledge of accounting processes and understanding of the general ledger coding and accounts. Retrieve General Ledger Reports and update the Budget Variance Report for management to review.
- Assist in the development and administration of the operating budget.
- Develop customized reporting and tracking of various projects, compliance and business initiatives including compiling regular and special reports.
- Record and maintain accurate compliance and contract data. (DEP/EPA/NERC compliance; paper and electronic filing system).
- Maintain an organized and accurate filing system for vendor data, plant information, facility permits, compliance records and employees including maintaining and controlling confidential files and information. (File/manage Employee Safety training records/OSHA recordables).
- Proficiently utilize SharePoint On Premise and SharePoint Online to manage files, workflows, and communications.
- Oversee the document retention policy and practices ensuring compliance.
- Be proficient in Workday and manage the purchasing and invoice processes within.
- Support and participate as a buyer for the assigned facility and focus on strategic sourcing or category spend, as designated by the Plant Manager.
- Receive items at the facility, create labels for each item, label each item, and place the item in the appropriate location per Maximo.
- Perform monthly inventory audits and report findings to accounting.
- Manage corporate credit card: confirm spending, process vouchers, post into accounting system; print monthly reconciliation report, process monthly payments.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and conferences.
- Coordinate scheduling and calendar reviews for contract maintenance, projects, and compliance tasks.
- Order and maintain all office and general facility supplies/equipment.
- Assist with daily will call and delivery activities as required to support facility and operations.
- Receive and screen visitors and manage the visitor logging process.
- Actively participate in Human Resource tasks and support the corporate HR department.
- May be required to support job responsibilities as needed outside of scheduled work hours.
- Occasional travel may be required

- High School degree or equivalent is required. Associate Degree preferred. Experience may substitute for degree.
- At least 1-3 years of substantive relevant experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, knowledge of Visio and SharePoint a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Functional experience Maximo CMMS system is preferred, although not required.
- Keen multi-tasking capabilities, flexibility, and organizational skills; attention to detail.
- Strong customer (internal and external) centric focus.
- Strong, creative problem solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to pitch-in where needed, and ability to learn on-the-fly.
- Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity in all dealings with or on behalf of Onward Energy at all levels inside and outside the organization.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

- Valid U.S. Driver license with acceptable MVR history, if applicable.
