We are now seeking a talented and motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team and help expand the growth of our products division.
The Sales Specialist will play a key role in growing the customer base and enhancing service delivery in South East Ontario. This position will conduct all sales activities from lead generation to deal closing using technical selling skills and focused product knowledge to deliver superior solutions to customers. The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of account management, sales, and promotion to the Heavy-Duty Mining, Shipping ports, Cement, Aggregate, and other material-moving industries within the assigned territory.
The Sales Specialist will help manage existing customer accounts, identify new sales opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction through timely follow-up, quoting support, and coordination with internal teams including inside sales, logistics, and service.
- Drive sales growth by actively promoting AFM’s products within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new opportunities.
- Conduct regular site visits to understand customer operations, troubleshoot issues, and recommend tailored solutions.
- Develop and execute territory sales plans in collaboration with management to achieve growth objectives.
- Stay current on AFM’s products, industry trends, and competitive landscape to position offerings effectively.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
- Follow up on outstanding quotations and ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment by coordinating with internal teams.
- Provide ongoing post-sale support, resolving customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Track sales activities, prepare weekly call plans and reports, and communicate business development strategies with management.
- Collaborate with service and inside sales teams to review upcoming work and support customer needs both within and outside the territory.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of industrial or technical sales experience (required).
- Strong engineering knowledge or practical hands-on experience with conveyor systems (asset).
- Background in construction, mining, cement, or aggregate industries (asset).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering excellent customer service.
- Exceptional ability to build rapport, identify customer needs, and create sales opportunities.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Ontario.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and familiarity with CRM/ERP systems
- Competitive pay: 80,000 – 90,000 plus uncapped commissions.
