The ideal candidate will prospect and generate new business as well as perform cold-calls to generate new permanent sales. This candidate should be able to support existing clients and have an ability to conduct product demonstrations.
- Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business
- Responsible for the preparation and implementation of municipal marketing and sales plans
- Nuturing and expanding relationships
- Works closely with the VP of Communication to determine strategic objectives in relation to Municipalities.
- Assist in the RFP and Proposal Development to include preparing, assembling, packaging and delivering proposals
- Effectively demonstrate product line
- Meet established goals for territory development and sales quotas
- Travel when required
- Experience with CRM, salesforce
- Navigating long sales cycles
- Demonstrate solutions that align with the public good and value.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field
- 2+ years' experience in cold calling sales with strong track record of success- Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies
- Able to address the needs of the public sector
- Operate under strict, lengthy and complicated procurement processes
- Knowledge of legislative processes, government procurement and bidding procedures
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
