We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Gillette, WY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales of our specialized welding, machining, and fabrication services. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering value to clients in the mining industry.
- Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients within the mining industry across Wyoming and surrounding states.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets, including cold calling, site visits, and presentations.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to position Black Rock Mine Service as the preferred service provider.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed proposals, quotes, and contracts tailored to client needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services and address client requirements.
- Reporting: Track and report sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics using CRM software.
- Travel: Regularly travel to client sites and industry events to promote services and secure new business (valid driver’s license required).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the mining, heavy equipment, or industrial services industry.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and understand their technical needs.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Knowledge of welding, machining, or fabrication processes.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license required; MSHA certification is a plus (training provided if needed).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to travel frequently, including overnight trips, and work in various weather conditions when visiting mine sites.
- This is a field-based position requiring regular travel to client sites across Wyoming and neighboring states.
- Work may involve exposure to mining environments, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends for client meetings or industry events.
