The Manufacturing Engineer at Fastfeed is responsible for managing custom vibratory bowl and blow feeding system projects from engineering release through assembly and testing. This role owns the detailing of drawings, definition of manufacturing processes, development of bills of material and routings, and execution support on the shop floor to ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
This position plays a critical role in expanding Fastfeed’s engineering and production capacity while supporting the development and implementation of standardized systems, including part numbering, BOM structure, and routing processes.
· Produce detailed manufacturing drawings using 3D solid modeling systems for mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components, ensuring completeness and manufacturability.
· Create, revise, and expand CAD drawings to meet customer and internal manufacturing requirements.
· Define and develop manufacturing processes, including routing steps, work instructions, and sequencing to support efficient production.
· Generate and maintain accurate bills of material (BOMs) and routings to support purchasing, costing, and production planning.
· Define part numbers and support implementation and maintenance of structured part numbering systems.
· Order materials and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of components required for production.
· Interface with outside vendors for component selection, quoting, and technical support.
· Program CNC equipment as needed and develop documentation to support machining operations.
· Support and contribute to PLC programming and basic controls integration for vibratory feeding systems.
· Manage and follow jobs through the shop floor, ensuring adherence to drawings, processes, and schedules.
· Directly support and help manage assembly and testing of vibratory bowl and blow feeding equipment to ensure functionality and performance requirements are met.
· Analyze test data and troubleshoot issues to ensure systems meet design and customer specifications.
· Support manufacturing personnel during fabrication, assembly, and testing phases to resolve technical issues in real time.
· Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production efficiency.
· Assist in the development and implementation of systems related to BOM management, routings, purchasing, and costing.
· Communicate all necessary technical and project information to sales, engineering, and operations teams to meet customer requirements.
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering and/or 3–5 years of experience.
· Forward-thinking, open-minded, and methodical approach to problem solving.
· Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
· CNC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance experience (GibbsCAM).
· Experience with SolidWorks (preferred but not required).
