Overview
Provides tooling, equipment, process design, and ability to produce reviews, Lean leadership and other technical support for manufacturing processes in the Tupelo facility.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement Manufacturing process improvements and upgrades where appropriate. May develop Capital Expense Requests and Proposals for submittal.
- Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing to meet customer deliveries.
- Identify and implement Waste Reduction solutions as part of Continuous Improvement program.
- Participate on and implement preventive actions recommended by the Hazard Elimination Team.
- Lead selected Kaizen events to reduce waste and improve process flow.
- Conduct production/manufacturing reviews to ensure product designs are producible and cost effective.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) required.
- Five or more years of experience providing technical support in a metal fabrication environment.
- Training and certification as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of leading focused Kaizen teams in Continuous improvement projects.
- Proficient with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
