X-energy LLC is hiring an experienced Global Business Development Operations Support Manager to support its Global Business Development team in Rockville, MD. This position is responsible for supporting the operational backbone of our business development and proposal planning functions by optimizing systems, processes, and platforms to improve efficiency and support scalable growth for X-energy’s Global Business Development team. The role will also lead the definition of use cases, process development, and overall adoption of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) tools to support all Global Business Development endeavors.
Job Tasks/Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and/or HubSpot) to support the full sales and proposal lifecycle.
- Customize workflows, dashboards, and reporting features to align with business goals and sales performance tracking.
- Ensure CRM data integrity, oversee user adoption, and provide training and documentation as needed.
- Evaluate and implement business development tools that enhance lead tracking, proposal planning, client engagement, pipeline forecasting, and new business support requirements, including X-energy workforce growth projections to meet BD and project needs.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and lead process improvement initiatives in collaboration with sales and proposal planning teams.
- Support proposal development workflows by integrating CRM data and document management tools.
- Drive automation across the Global Business Development teamwork flows.
- Act as a bridge between the Global Business Development customer relationship managers, the capture team, the contracts and finance teams, IT, and other external relations teams to ensure alignment and seamless integration of systems and data.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications, working with internal and external developers as needed.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for business development platforms and tools.
- Manage the lifecycle of key business development systems including vendor selection, implementation, licensing, and user support.
- Stay up to date on emerging business development technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve team performance and efficiency.
- Lead development and implementation of new technology in Global Business Development team, especially rapidly evolving tools like Artificial Intelligence tools that can accelerate efficiency in Global Business Development work.
- Generate performance dashboards, pipeline reports, and sales analytics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Monitor KPIs related to business development activities and provide insights to support goal tracking and performance improvement.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field.
- Typically, ten years of relevant work experience.
- Five plus years of experience in business development operations, CRM system administration, or sales enablement is required.
- Hands-on experience with leading CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong understanding of sales and proposal development workflows.
- Proficiency in business analysis, process mapping, and system integration.
- Experience identifying and implementing AI tools to automate workflows.
