Position Summary

We are seeking a high-energy Business Development Manager to drive aggressive growth in our O&M and asset management portfolio. This is a true “hunter” role responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new utility-scale and DG/commercial solar + BESS O&M contracts. You will expand relationships with asset owners, IPPs, developers, and portfolio managers while positioning Miller Bros Solar as the premier independent O&M provider in the markets we serve.


Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy to grow revenue from utility-scale and DG/C&I solar + storage O&M contracts.

- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, RFP/RFI responses, strategic partnerships, and warm introductions.

- Cultivate and expand relationships with key stakeholders: solar developers, IPPs, independent asset owners, private equity firms, and EPC contractors.

- Collaborate with Operations, Performance Engineering, Technical Services, and Finance teams to create compelling, customized proposals that highlight our ROCC capabilities, NERC expertise, inverter services, and proven performance results.

- Represent MBS at major industry events (RE+ , SPI, ACORE, regional solar conferences, etc.) and host client site visits or webinars.

- Conduct market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing trends, and emerging opportunities in O&M and technical asset management.

- Negotiate and close multi-year O&M agreements, working seamlessly with legal and operations for smooth handoff.

- Track all activity in CRM (Salesforce preferred), deliver accurate forecasts, and meet or exceed quarterly/annual booking targets.

- Contribute to thought leadership content and continuous improvement of sales collateral and processes.


Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (MBA a plus).

- 5+ years of proven business development or sales experience specifically selling solar O&M, asset management, or technical services (utility-scale and/or DG experience required).

- Established network of contacts among U.S. solar asset owners, IPPs, and developers.

- Deep technical understanding of solar PV, BESS, O&M best practices, performance metrics (PR, availability, etc.), and NERC compliance.

- Demonstrated “hunter” track record with ability to generate and close new business independently.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenter in front of C-level and technical audiences.

- Willingness and ability to travel 40-60% nationwide.

- Proficiency with CRM systems, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Microsoft Office, and proposal tools.


Preferred Qualifications

- Existing relationships in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, or Texas solar markets.

- Experience selling to or working with major players

- Familiarity with CMMS, SCADA, and performance analysis platforms.

- Previous employment at a top-tier O&M provider, IPP, or developer.

Job Type: Full-time
