In Short:

A Maintenance Technician ensures that our facility remains in operating form. Daily tasks will vary day-to-day based on immediate need and scheduled maintenance, but can frequently include repairs, aesthetic work or tending to the facility's machinery

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Participate in mandatory stretching exercise program

- Follow all safety regulations

- Receive direction and work orders from assigned department supervisor

- Review daily inspection sheets of equipment and make necessary repairs/recommendations

- Repair all equipment including splitters, saws, loaders, wrappers, quarry trucks, trailers and forklifts

- Perform welding, cutting, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic work

- Provide feedback to supervisors and operators on improvement of PM tasks and maintenance operations

- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and complete all necessary paperwork

- Order parts, tools, and materials needed to repair and maintain equipment

- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

- Maintenance Mechanic Degree preferred

- Minimum two years of experience in hydraulic diagnosis and repair, welding, steel fabrication and industrial mechanics

- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

- Basic shop arithmetic skills

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to read, write and speak English

- Valid driver's license with good driving record

- Ability to operate a manual automobile

- Basic computer data entry skills (Microsoft Excel)

- Ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds
