Bell Lumber & Pole is looking for a Maintenance Technician to ensure our equipment, yard, and facility operate safely and efficiently at our Gibsland location. Starting Pay: $26.88 per hour, with room for growth based on experience
- Independently address and troubleshoot complex repairs, including identifying and resolving issues, diagnosing faults, and recommending improvements.
- Lead equipment inspections, identifying and documenting issues, and coordinating with senior technicians or management to implement corrective actions.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, identifying and promptly resolving safety hazards, and implementing proactive safety measures.
- Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), providing data for performance analysis and cost control.
- Collaborate with others on major maintenance projects, installations, and renovations.
- Communicate regularly with Corporate maintenance Manager and site leaders to keep all up to date on the status of yard maintenance.
- Spearhead preventive maintenance programs, utilizing your expertise to optimize equipment performance, extend longevity, and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues to determine the best course of action for repair.
- Execute a wide range of maintenance tasks, encompassing plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, and carpentry, demonstrating expertise in these areas.
- Be available for on-call duties and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training or certification preferred.
Experience:Substantial prior experience in general maintenance or a related field. Proficiency in heavy mobile equipment, automotive, agricultural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and carpentry techniques.
