Maintenance Technician

Our Dearborn, MI location is in need of a diverse, skilled maintenance technician to take care of the standard day-to-day maintenance and care of all company equipment and facilities.

Responsibility:

Responsible for the care and maintenance of all equipment and property on factory grounds. Installs, maintains, and repairs the machinery, physical structure, and the pipe and

electrical systems.

Essential Functions/Resource Provision:

- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment

- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts

- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery

- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical

and electronic components of machinery

- Repairs and maintains physical structures of the establishment

- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment

- Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures

Supplemental Functions:

Perform special work-related projects for all levels of management.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

- High School diploma or equivalent

- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide

- Product knowledge, (Including but not limited to: PLC, Hi-lo, hydraulics, pneumatics,

variable frequency drives, SSD drives for slitters, SSD software, and RS Logic

Programming)

- Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Completion of an electrical program

Working Conditions:

Individuals will work primarily in a non-climate-controlled environment that requires constant walking, standing, carrying of loads <20lbs, bending, and working with hands and fingers with occasional lifting of loads in excess of 50lbs, crouching, climbing, supinating, or crawling.
