Maintenance Technician

Position: Maintenance Technician

Division: Recycling

Status: Full Time/Hourly Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician will provide assistance in all aspects of maintenance such as welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics

.REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

SUPERVISES: N/A

Essential Responsibilities:

- Maintenance/Repair tasks at the plant.

- Preventative maintenance/repair tasks on mobile equipment.

- Preventive maintenance/repair tasks on furnaces, power supplies and plant operational equipment and processes.

- Repairs of unscheduled equipment issues causing downtime

- Completing work orders & PM paperwork

- Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position

- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes

- THIS POSITION WILL WORK FROM 3 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday - Friday, which adds .75/hr. night shift premium

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.

- Industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities

- Self-starter, dependable and work well with other team members.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.

- Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

- Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
